Analyze How Profitable Your Sports Knowledge Can Be
The spread is the number of points subtracted from the favorite's score OR added to the underdog's score. When betting the spread, bets are paid out the amount of the wager. So for example, a $100 winning bet receives a $100 payout and a $100 losing bet costs the bettor $100. Let's look at a few examples of how the scores are adjusted for the spread and bets are paid out.
Favorite Team 3
Underdog Team 3
Bet $100 on Underdog +3.5
Favorite Team 2
Underdog Team 2

Favorite Team 1
Underdog Team 1

Using all this free data has changed the way I look at betting, in general. I wish I would have learned these skills in school, but this site has all the tools I need to make the right picks. Why is it still free?
Not like I really needed this data to show how great the Patriots are against the spread, but it is nice seeing it confirmed. Forget betting, it makes me more comfortable watching them play on Sunday when I can check how they've done in similar situations in the past.
This is a great idea. You know Vegas is using data to make the lines so why not use it yourself?
