Three Most Common Ways To Bet

The spread is the number of points subtracted from the favorite's score OR added to the underdog's score. When betting the spread, bets are paid out the amount of the wager. So for example, a $100 winning bet receives a $100 payout and a $100 losing bet costs the bettor $100. Let's look at a few examples of how the scores are adjusted for the spread and bets are paid out.
